hi just a question im attending some seminar right now to stop foreclosure i just wanna find out they said you can prolong your stay at your house up to 36 months even investment they call it 911 retention what they going to do is hire a real estate atty and they will negotiate everything i know some people here know what im trying to say just wanna make sure all this seminar are not scam because your going to pay $2200 a month for processing your case then every month once prolong you’ll have to pay the atty $900-$1200 a month pls help
They are asking you to pay for their help to rip off your bank?
This does not sounds like a scam to you?

I don’t know what you are talking about but it sounds like a scam to me. 2200 per month? Wouldn’t that money be better spent on your mortgage? What does this stalling do to your credit?
Have you tried working something out with your mortgage company? With so many homes in foreclosure, many mortgage companies are more willing to try and work something out with you.
Would a short sale work?
How about instead of going to some seminar to pay a real estate attorney — you just go directly to a real estate attorney yourself for a consultation. They should be able to tell you what your options are. And that one consultation is going to be a lot less than 2200.
Your local bar association should be able to give you a reference.
Check out Suze Orman’s web site and tv show. She get’s lots of calls from folks facing foreclosure.
I just get a bad feeling about this seminar thing. I just don’t trust it. It sounds like a heck of a lot of money for nothing. With some research, I think you can get better advice elsewhere for much cheaper.

It does sound like a scam. Unfortunately there are plenty of people out there right now trying to make a buck off of a bad situation.
I would suggest you first contact your lender to see if there is any help they can give you with either a forbearance program or a loan modification.
If you are beyond that point and are trying to save your home, I would contact a Real Estate Attorney. You may be able to go on-line and find a low cost attorney or clinic in your area that can help.
Also check with http://www.hud.gov, they may have some tips on what to do.
