Foreclosures — What the Government should do?

The Government should make a law or bill that states that all foreclosures MUST stop for a period of 3 years, this will keep people in their homes and it will force the lenders to listen to the borrowers! As in agreeing to do loan modifications that people can afford, that way people are no longer being foreclosed on and the blood sucking mortgage companys still get their money (over time)

Because right now if you are late on your mortgage and you try to ask your lender for help they will not listen to you nor will they even try to give you alternatives of any kind (trust me I know this first hand)

The Government could add that if a lender continues to not try to work with a borrower then that lender would be penalized in some way.

If the Government came up with this type of bill, then it wouldn’t cost taxpayers any money, Unlike the bill they have now which is costing 7 Billion dollars!! And this money is only helping the mortgage companies its not helping people stay in their homes.
Its only bailing out Fannie and Freddie and some others.

What is really too bad is there isn’t enough of us who are willing to stand up and say enough is enough! Those in Congress should be fired immediately. They fatten that bill to help themselves not the general public!

I agree, there should be a moratorium on foreclosures. They need to force these lenders to deal with us the consumers. It’s not our fault the values have gone to shit! We need some relief here and now.

No one is listening to us.

I need to write a letter for my lawyer, explaining how much money my fiancee’ brings in each month. It’s to stop foreclosure on our property. Since i currently cannot find a job in flint, he needs this for the court, and to file it tomorrow. I have a general idea on how to word it, but a little input would be helpful. Thank you.

i am enclosing a copy of _______ check stubs for the month of _____ which will varify his gross and net pay for that month as you requested.
or something to that affect.

The House is in my wifes name and we are facing foreclosure..they have set a date of nov. 6th in georgia. what can we do to save the house. we supposedly had been approved for a loan modification…and now they are saying the loan negtiator is making the decision…meanwhile the date is coming. we hired a stop foreclosure place..paid them 700 and still are facing the same thing..we can’t reach this person at lender as they say it’s all up to her if we can modify our loan or not…do what can we do now…we want to keep home…don’t really want bankruptcy….it’s like if we can get this phantom person to say yea or nea…that would at least help. What do u think we can do?

This really caught my eye, I was in this place at one time, GOD bless, he knows what he is doing, Pray, let him do the rest, trust that whatever happens happens for a reason, he may have a better door for you to open, just as he did for me after I lost my house. I miss my house, but love what GOD has done and is doing for me, PRAY and TRUST, may not be what you want to hear, but he controls all things for the good and the bad. GOOD LUCK
